PackItIn - Privacy Policy

PackItIn is provided to you by Pragmatech Software Solutions Ltd ("we", "our", "us") as an application available via the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. This document describes how your data is handled when you use the app.

Data Stored on Your Device

All packing lists and trip details you create are stored locally on your device using a SQLite database. This includes your destination, travel dates, trip type, number of travellers, adult genders, children's ages, itinerary notes, and packing items. This data never leaves your device except as described below, and is deleted when you uninstall the app.

AI-Generated Packing Suggestions

When you request AI-generated packing suggestions, the following trip details are sent to our secure server and forwarded to Anthropic's API to generate your list: destination, travel month, trip duration, trip type, number of adults and their genders, number of children and their ages, and any itinerary notes you have provided. No names or other personally identifiable information are collected or transmitted. We do not store this data on our servers — it is passed directly to Anthropic to produce the packing suggestions and is not retained after the response is returned.

Anthropic may process this data in accordance with their own privacy policy, which can be found at anthropic.com/privacy.

Weather Information

When you view weather information for a trip, the destination name and travel month are sent to the Open-Meteo API (open-meteo.com) to retrieve historical climate data. No personal information is included in this request. Open-Meteo is a free, open-source weather service; their privacy policy can be found at open-meteo.com/en/terms.

Personal Information

We do not collect any personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, or location. The app does not require an account and does not track you across sessions or devices. No analytics or advertising SDKs are included in the app.
